If using FactoryTalk Transaction Manager with RSBizWare (FactoryTalk Metrics or FactoryTalk Historian Classic), install FactoryTalk Transaction Manager from the RSBizWare media. Other versions of FactoryTalk Transaction Manager may be incompatible.

Operating systems
FactoryTalk Transaction Manager must be installed on one of these platforms:
Database installation
FactoryTalk Transaction Manager does not install or configure a database. Therefore, a database must be accessible to your FactoryTalk Transaction Manager application.
If a database has already been installed at your site, your database administrator should handle the administration necessary to connect to the database and provide connection information (user name and password).

Importing an XML file that binds tags to the column name with the number 8 fails
If a SQL Server table column name includes the number 8, when importing an XML file that binds tags to the column name to FactoryTalk Transaction Manager, an error occurs. First identified in FactoryTalk Transaction Manager version 10.20.00. [Jira 461309]
To avoid this issue, do not include the number 8 in column names.
Corrected in FactoryTalk Transaction Manager version 14.00.00.
FactoryTalk Transaction Manager OCI Connector service stops responding on restart if the service is stopped using Toad
If the FactoryTalk Transaction Manager OCI Connector service is stopped using Toad, when you restart the service, it stops responding on restart. First identified in FactoryTalk Transaction Manager version 12.10.00. [Jira 461322]
To avoid this issue, do not use Toad to stop the FactoryTalk Transaction Manager OCI Connector service. Instead, use Microsoft Management Console to do so.
Corrected in FactoryTalk Transaction Manager version 14.00.00.
